Diving

Bali dive sites offer a different side of the island’s beauty – underwater. Each site has a special set of attributes. The seas along the northern coast are calmer and home to coral gardens, particularly between Menjangan Island and the coast of Pemuteran. The latter is home to the world’s largest artificial reef and conservation project, which allows you to dive amongst corals right in from the shore.

As one of the world’s premier diving destinations, Bali attracts divers from the world over to dive sites that are known as migratory paths for certain kinds of sea creatures, such as the mysterious ‘mola-mola’ or oceanic sunfish, manta rays and several dolphin species. Whether you choose the calm seas of the north, a historical shipwreck, or the deep open seas off Nusa Penida, there’s one for every skill level in Bali. Read on to decide where to go scuba diving in Bali on your next trip.
